Data we handle for our customers. When we support a customer, we also handle personal data inside their systems, such as their staff’s accounts and devices. We do that as a processor, on the customer’s instructions, under our contract and data processing terms. This notice doesn’t cover that data; the customer’s own privacy notice does.

Who helps us

We use trusted suppliers who handle personal data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

  • Formless runs our AI assistant: it processes your conversation so we can read and reply to it.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from attacks.
  • Our email, helpdesk and business systems hold the conversations and records we need to support customers.
  • YouTube (Google) plays the videos on this site. We use its privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube only sets cookies if you press play.

We may also share personal data with professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers, and where the law requires it, with regulators, courts or the police. We never sell personal data.

International transfers

Some of our suppliers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. When they do, we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge) or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so your data keeps the same protection.

Cookies and analytics

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, so you won’t see a cookie banner here.

  • Our page analytics, when switched on, don’t use cookies or build a profile of you. They count visits in aggregate.
  • Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie to tell people from bots and keep the site secure.
  • The AI assistant may use cookies within its own window, so a conversation keeps working while you type.
  • YouTube sets cookies only when you play a video.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to working together: for as long as the conversation is useful to both of us, and then deleted.
  • Customer records: for as long as we work together, then for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, usually six years.
  • Job applications: for the length of the hiring process, then deleted, unless you agree we can keep your details for future roles.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Website and security logs: for a short period, set by our hosting provider.

Keeping it safe

We look after other companies’ security for a living, so we hold ourselves to the same standard. Seeto is certified to Cyber Essentials Plus. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it, protected by single sign-on and two-step verification, on managed and encrypted devices.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it if it’s wrong
  • ask us to delete it, or to restrict how we use it
  • object to us using it, including for direct marketing at any time
  • ask for data you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere
  • withdraw your consent, where we rely on it

To use any of these rights, email hello@seeto.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month. There’s no charge.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.
